I was 4 years old when you were seated as the Philippines' and Asia's first female president. I knew nothing about politics then. But this I know: If it weren't for you, we'd probably be another North Korea, not having freedom to do the things we love and enjoy. You brought democracy back to the Philippines.
You weren't just our president, you were the country's mother.
I will forever thank you for this freedom that we are all enjoying now.
